Student visa (X Visa)

Chinese student visas for the purposes of studying or intern practice for more than six months.

 

Documents required:

1. Original passport with at least 6 months validity and at least 2 blank visa pages.
2. Completed Chinese Embassy Visa Application Form signed & dated by the applicant.
3. One recent colour passport photograph. *
   

   * Please note that home-made digital photos or copied photos are not acceptable.

4. JW-201 or JW-202 form issued by the Ministry of Education of China
5. A letter of admission from a Chinese University / College.

Types of Chinese student visas:

Usually the Chinese Embassy issue single entrance student visas, however, multiple-entry Chinese student visas are obtainable for courses which last for over a year.

 

Important note:

• Visas to China cannot be applied for more than three months in advance of the entry date.
• The length of Chinese visa is determined by the Chinese Embassy.
• F Visa type will be issued instead of X Visa type if the duration of stay in China is less than six months.
• If you intend to study in China for over six months, a “Physical Examination Certificate Form” will be required with your application for a Chinese visa
