The post Graduate Visa Route will be open for application in 1 July 2021 to international students who successfully complete eligible courses with a valid visa (Tier 4 Student Route) .

With this visa, students will be able to work full time for two years in most types of jobs, including self-employment. 

PhD students will be granted three years. 

If you are studying outside the UK due to COVID-19 and began your studies before January 2021 and your course length is 12 months or less, you will still be eligible to apply provided you arrive in the UK by 21 June 2021. 

If you began a one-year Master's in January 2021, then you will be eligible to apply provided you arrive in the UK by 

27 September 2021.

• Valid Student or Tier 4 visa which expires on 1st July 2021 or after; and 
• Submit the application within the UK while holding a valid Tier 4 or Student visa; and 
• Successfully completed eligible courses; and 
• No previous permission or leave on the Doctorate Extension Scheme (DES), or previously on the Graduate route; 
• No reason to be refused on grounds of suitability 
• Do not need to be in employment to stay on the Graduate Route
• DO not need to have been offered a job in the UK to apply
